We’ve welcomed shadowdancer as a contributing writer too!

In the past few days we have been working on getting EMI and the artists involved in more exposure than the norm. One of our projects is taking one of our featured artists (name withheld) and writing a few press releases to their local media and community information outlets. These press releases will alert and direct local hometown news to the accomplishments of the artist and showcase work that possibly would not get news had it not been for a press release notifying the proper parties. Time will tell if this program will be successful however it is an attempt to broaden our artists exposure.
We launched a Earthmonster Facebook account to reach out to the Facebook world. Victoria Antoine will serve as site administrator for us, Welcome to the staff! The first week we saw moderate activity but did see subscribers coming, it’s a good sign. We will be adding Facebook submission to EMI in part to bring those art minded people to not only EMI but possibly to Redbubble.
As of today we also latched onto Technorati, a blog related rating website. How does this help you? By putting in links to EMI from your pages we receive a greater number of link listings and in turn it is recognized by Technorati and our rating goes up. When we publish it feeds to Technorati, and from time to time they will drop an article into their front page which is massively popular and the user will see what we are doing. If you want to help yourself then drop a link to EMI from your work or your profile and help us, help them… find you. They will filter through EMI into your feature and into your art or profile.
Want to link? Drop this banner in your sites, profiles, facebook accounts and tattoo it on your back. Just right click this banner and save it to your hard drive and link it to http://earthmonster.wordpress.com/
We welcome suggestions from our readers as always. If you would like to see something that would benefit you, your work or a fellow artist don’t hesitate to let us know.
HUGO Create is a global design contest from HUGO fragrances by HUGO BOSS. The con- test is open to people of all skill levels. Professionals, students and design enthusiasts: this is your opportunity to show the world your ideas and skills.
10 winners are selected each round. Each winner receives $500 cash. In each round, one winner gets published in i-D, a prestigious international urban magazine, and some designs will be selected to be painted on New York walls during the month of September.
We are really looking forward to receiving your designs featuring the iconic HUGO Man bottle and an individual interpretation of the HUGO brand universe, according to the current design theme.
So fire up your creative minds and draw, scan, create a digital collage, vectorize… It’s up to you.
It would be nice to see an EMI reader win this!

As a human being I’m a woman, a wife, a grandmother, a sister, a friend, a healer, a listener, a counselor, a lover, an observer and a dancer, no longer afraid to make my own music. I’ve worn the masks of a peacemaker, an empath, a coach, an organizer, a diviner, an astrologer, a star gazer, a chef, a traveler, a music lover, a researcher, a nature lover, a gardener, a word player, a calligrapher, a painter, a sculptor, a designer, a photographer, a writer, a poet, an artist, and most recently an author of a trilogy for healing the mind, body & spirit.
As far as titles, which I’d just as soon discard – I have studied and am consistently learning to improve my expertise as a Wildlife Rehabilitator, a Rational Emotive Counselor, a Nutritional Herbologist and Spiritual Counselor who specializes in Rites of Passage. Or, to put it more simply, I’m a positive re-enforcing interpreter of dreams, symbols and cyclic events by defining the truth in the power of words and their meaning for the purpose of healing and PEACE.
In Spring 2007, I self-published the aforementioned trilogy for the mind “Sailing through the 7C’s”, the body “Beyond Symptoms”, and the spirit “Puzzled Isles of Spirit” through Xlibris. All three books provide tools and questions for any novice or genius to figure out for themselves the opportunities available for the potentiality of healing successfully. 7C’s is not about the body of water, but the tools of Cycles, Changes, Choices, Circles, Character, Community and Chakras to heal all aspects of our “whole” being: physically, mentally, emotionally, morally, socially, tribally and spiritually. Beyond Symptoms is a comprehensive re-introduction to the basic functions of the human body and within the 7 major systems, the ailments, causes, poisons, symptoms of dysfunction and dis-ease, as well as the nutrients necessary to keep it functioning, healing and nourishing them, the mental-causal effects and life lessons sometimes associated with dis-ease and some self-testing tools. Puzzled Isles is a simple guide for putting together the pieces of Universal Knowledge to create your own personal belief and value system, as I’ve always had the feeling that each religious dogma has a piece to a universal puzzle and if we dropped the US verses THEM attitudes and beliefs that focus on our differences, rather than our shared strengths, we may just evolve into a peaceful and accepting existence.
After 46 years of life in Southern California, I am newly transplanted, with my soul-mate of 23 years, in the beautiful Pacific Northwestern region of the US, settling just over 3 years ago along the river banks below the gorgeous Cascadian mountain range closest to Mt. Rainier. We have been truly blessed by the muses of nature in our surroundings here at Wind River Ranch, and I look forward to sharing with you its inspirations.
